Neil Young Reverses Decision, Confirms Glastonbury 2025 Performance
Neil Young has reversed his decision and confirmed he will perform at Glastonbury 2025 alongside his band The Chrome Hearts. This announcement comes shortly after Young's earlier statement criticizing the festival as a "corporate turn-off."

Young clarified on his official website that his initial decision was based on incorrect information, stating: "Due to an error in the information received, I had decided not to play the Glastonbury festival, which I have always loved. Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing!"
Glastonbury organizers have confirmed Young as a headliner, expressing excitement about his return to headline the Pyramid stage in June.
The reversal follows Young's previous concerns about BBC's partnership with Glastonbury and perceived corporate involvement. His earlier statement had criticized the festival's direction and additional requirements from the BBC.
The 2025 Glastonbury Festival will take place at Worthy Farm from June 25-29. Currently, only two headliners have been confirmed:
- Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts
- Rod Stewart (his first appearance since 2002)
Industry insiders suggest Olivia Rodrigo and The 1975 might also join the festival's lineup, though these remain unconfirmed.
