Pop superstar Harry Styles is reportedly finalizing a deal for a 35-show residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, potentially beginning in the second half of 2025. The venue seeks to attract younger audiences and boost profitability with this major contemporary artist.

The deal would mark a significant shift for the Sphere, which has primarily featured acts appealing to older audiences, including U2, The Eagles, and The Dead. James Dolan, who owns both the Sphere and Madison Square Garden, has previous success with Styles, who sold out 15 shows at MSG in 2022.

Current financial insights reveal that the Sphere generates more revenue from daily film screenings than from concerts. For context, U2's opening residency commanded a $10 million production budget from the venue.

Upcoming confirmed performances at the Sphere include:

  • Kenny Chesney: 18 shows in May-June
  • Backstreet Boys: 18 shows through mid-August

Styles has maintained a low profile since concluding his Love On Tour in 2023. His most recent public appearances include running the Tokyo Marathon in February 2024 and attending a U2 concert at the Sphere in November with his girlfriend.

The potential residency could provide the venue with the contemporary star power needed to attract diverse audiences and increase profitability, marking a new era for the technologically advanced entertainment venue.
