The 25-year-old rapper was arrested in 2020 during a music video shoot in Baton Rouge, where he and 15 others were detained for illegal firearm possession. Law enforcement seized multiple guns from the scene.

According to court documents from December 10, Gaulden has been serving time in Utah since May for six weapons charges and unlawful activity charges. His time served could reduce his remaining sentence to approximately 12 months.

Additional charges include:

  • Identity fraud
  • Forgery
  • Possession of controlled substances
  • Drug procurement attempts

Gaulden was previously under house arrest in Utah following a 2019 Miami shooting incident. In November, he pleaded guilty to involvement in a prescription drug fraud operation run from his Utah mansion, facing 46 total related charges.

Despite his legal troubles, Gaulden maintained success on the Billboard charts, with five of his eight 2022 releases reaching the Top 10. His album "The Last Slimeto" peaked at #2, marking his final release under Atlantic Records before signing with Motown.
