Jay-Z Files 236-Page Lawsuit Against Attorney Over Rape Allegations, Claims Extortion
Jay-Z has initiated legal action against attorney Tony Buzbee, revealing himself as the anonymous plaintiff who filed a 236-page extortion lawsuit in November. The lawsuit comes in response to rape allegations made against the rapper in Buzbee's recent filing.

Buzbee, who represents over 200 alleged victims of Sean "Diddy" Combs, filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Jane Doe who claims she was assaulted by both Combs and Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) at a VMAs afterparty in 2000 when she was 13 years old.
Carter's attorney, Alex Spiro, has requested the court to require Jane Doe, now 37, to reveal her identity to proceed with litigation. The extortion lawsuit reveals that Buzbee has accused Carter of sexually assaulting both a male and female minor.
The filing states: "Plaintiff John Doe is the victim of a scheme by Defendant Anthony G. Buzbee and his firm [...], who are shamelessly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him or else publicly file wildly false horrific allegations against him."
Buzbee has denied all wrongdoing and accused Jay-Z of orchestrating a campaign of harassment and bullying against him and his family through social media posts. Carter's legal team has included these posts in Monday's filing as evidence of what they describe as attempted blackmail and public embarrassment.
