Madonna Fans File Lawsuit Over Two-Hour Concert Delay at Barclays Center
Two Madonna fans have launched a lawsuit against the singer and Live Nation for starting her December 13 Celebration Tour concert at Barclays Center more than two hours late. The show, scheduled for 8:30 PM, didn't begin until after 10:45 PM.

Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, the plaintiffs, claim they faced transportation difficulties and next-day work responsibilities due to the show ending at 1 AM. Their lawsuit alleges "unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices" and breach of contract.
The lawsuit highlights that Madonna's December 14 and 16 shows at the same venue also started two hours late. The plaintiffs argue that based on Madonna's history of late starts, including recent shows in Washington, DC, and Boston, the defendants should have known the advertised start time was unrealistic.
This isn't Madonna's first encounter with such legal action. During her 2019 Madame X tour, she faced similar lawsuits:
- Nate Hollander sued in Florida over a rescheduled concert time (later voluntarily dismissed)
- Andrew Panos and Antonio Velotta sued in New York over a two-hour delay, reaching an undisclosed settlement in July 2020
The current lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
