
Universal Music New Zealand Names New Co-Managing Directors in Leadership Change
Universal Music New Zealand announces a significant leadership transition as Managing Director & Chairman Adam Holt plans to retire on April 30, 2025, after 24 years at the helm and 34 years with UMG.

Myra Hemara and Matt Kidd will succeed Holt as Co-Managing Directors effective May 1, 2025, reporting to Universal Music Australia & New Zealand President and CEO Sean Warner.

Matt Kidd:

- Started in promotions and public relations
- Led domestic repertoire and business development
- Focused on exporting New Zealand talent globally since 2017
The transition marks a new era for Universal Music New Zealand, with both new leaders expressing commitment to building upon Holt's legacy while driving innovation and artist development. They will work alongside UMNZ Chief Financial Officer & Commercial Director Tony Jenks to form the executive leadership team.
Sean Warner praised Holt's tenure, highlighting his contributions to company culture and artist relations, while expressing confidence in the new leadership duo's ability to drive continued success for Universal Music New Zealand.
