Universal Music Dropped From Latest Diddy Sexual Assault Lawsuit - Legal Battle Continues
A sexual assault accuser has dropped Universal Music Group (UMG) from her ongoing lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs and several other defendants.
Crystal McKinney, a model who filed the complaint in May, alleges Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted her at his New York City studio in 2003. According to the lawsuit, Diddy allegedly promised career advancement before providing her with alcohol and marijuana laced with intoxicating substances, leading to the assault.

The original lawsuit named multiple defendants including:
- Sean "Diddy" Combs
- Bad Boy Records
- Bad Boy Entertainment
- Sean John Clothing
- Universal Music Group
McKinney's legal team claimed UMG "enabled" Diddy's alleged crimes and failed to implement proper policies regarding sexual abuse prevention. However, in a recent joint filing, UMG has been dismissed from the case "with prejudice and without costs." The case continues against the remaining defendants.
This dismissal follows a similar pattern where UMG, its CEO Lucian Grainge, and Motown subsidiary were dropped from a separate sexual assault and sex trafficking complaint filed by Rodney Jones.

Diddy currently faces multiple sexual assault cases, including a recent filing that names Penske Media as a defendant. Additionally, Tupac Shakur's estate is reportedly considering legal action against Diddy regarding claims of his involvement in Tupac's murder.
