T.I. and Tiny Harris Win Full $71.4M in OMG Girlz Copyright Lawsuit Against MGA Entertainment
T.I. and Tiny Harris have won their lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, receiving the full $71.4 million in damages for copyright infringement of their OMG Girlz intellectual property.
Judge James Selna reversed his earlier consideration of reducing the damages to $17.8 million, ultimately awarding the full amount, including $53.6 million in punitive damages. The judge initially contemplated reducing the amount due to questions about whether MGA Entertainment acted in bad faith.

The lawsuit centered on MGA Entertainment's LOL Surprise! OMG dolls product line, which was found to have copied the likeness of seven dolls from the OMG Girlz group. While MGA denied the allegations, the court ruled in favor of T.I. and Tiny Harris.
Tiny Harris expressed gratitude on Instagram, stating "Don't play with God's children! So thankful and grateful to our amazing law team." She specifically mentioned her happiness for OMG Girlz members Bahja Rodriguez, Breaunna Womack, and her daughter Zonnique.
T.I. addressed the case, explaining that MGA Entertainment "came and ripped us off, and expected us not to have the audacity to stand up and speak for ourselves." The successful ruling validates their claims of intellectual property infringement and their decision to pursue legal action against the toy giant.
