The 15-year-old Boiler Room, previously owned by ticketing platform DICE since 2021, has built an impressive archive of over 8,000 performances featuring more than 5,000 artists across 200 cities. Their YouTube content has accumulated 1.56 billion views.
Key developments in this transaction:
- DICE will continue providing ticketing services for Boiler Room
- Blaise Bellville will remain as Boiler Room's CEO
- The acquisition amount remains undisclosed
This deal follows several major changes in the European live entertainment sector:
- KKR's acquisition of Superstruct (June 2024)
- CVC's minority investment in Superstruct (October 2024)
- CTS Eventim's purchase of See Tickets from Vivendi
- CTS Eventim's majority stake acquisition in France Billet (December 2024)
Roderik Schlosser, Superstruct's CEO, emphasized Boiler Room's "distinct cultural approach" as a key factor in the acquisition. These consolidation moves reflect the ongoing evolution of Europe's live entertainment industry, with major players strategically positioning themselves for future growth.
The acquisition strengthens Superstruct's position in the dance music space while maintaining Boiler Room's established brand identity and cultural significance in the electronic music scene.
