Spotify, Apple Music Launch Direct Song Sharing to TikTok with Expanded Integration
Spotify and Apple Music have launched a new 'Share to TikTok' feature, enabling direct music sharing integration between these platforms. This development comes one year after TikTok's "Add to Music App" feature introduction.

Key Features:
- Users can share tracks, playlists, albums, podcasts, and audiobooks
- Content can be shared via TikTok DMs or main feed
- One-tap access to shared content on both platforms
- Available on iOS and Android devices
This integration follows TikTok's decision to shut down its standalone music service and represents a strengthened partnership with major streaming platforms. According to Ole Obermann, TikTok's global head of music business development, the "Add to Music App" feature has already generated:
- Hundreds of millions of track saves
- Billions of streams on partner platforms
The feature expansion aligns with broader social media and music integration trends, similar to Instagram's recent "Add Song to Spotify" feature launch. TikTok has also secured partnerships with major ticketing platforms including:
- Ticketmaster
- AXS
- CTS Eventim
- Eventbrite
This new sharing capability aims to enhance music discovery and artist promotion while streamlining the user experience between music streaming services and social media platforms.
