Sean "Diddy" Combs has proposed a $50 million bail package while facing serious federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. The music mogul has been held in a Brooklyn jail for over eight weeks, maintaining his innocence throughout.

The bail package is backed by equity from his and his mother's Florida properties and includes strict conditions:

  • 24/7 surveillance and home detention
  • Restricted internet and phone access
  • Surrender of passports for Diddy and family
  • Limited visitor list for close family
  • Continuous monitoring by security personnel

The charges, filed in September 2024, allege that Diddy and associates engaged in coercive conduct involving threats and abuse. Prosecutors claim the criminal activity included organized gatherings called "freak offs."

Judge Arun Subramanian recently denied Diddy's request for a gag order on potential witnesses, citing free speech concerns. His legal team continues to challenge the prosecution's evidence, arguing it's insufficient and taken out of context.

The trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025. The court's decision on the bail package could significantly impact Diddy's ability to prepare his defense with his legal team in the months ahead.
