The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court's Central District of California, names 37 co-defendants and alleges a conspiracy to boost Bored Ape NFT values. The 100-page filing claims talent manager Guy Oseary orchestrated a scheme using MoonPay as a front to process secret payments from Yuga Labs to celebrities.

According to the filing, MoonPay presented itself as a service helping wealthy individuals purchase NFTs, but allegedly served as a covert payment system between Yuga Labs and celebrity promoters.

The lawsuit states: "The executives at Yuga and Oseary together devised a plan to leverage their vast network of A-list musicians, athletes, and celebrity clients and associates to misleadingly promote and sell the Yuga Financial Products."

Yuga Labs has denied these allegations, stating: "In our view, these claims are opportunistic and parasitic. We strongly believe they are without merit, and look forward to proving as much."
