The controversy emerged when listeners noticed similarities between the two songs, particularly in their vocal arrangements where the names "Jennie" and "Rani" are chanted throughout their respective tracks.

Pritam took to Instagram to defend Jennie, explaining that similar-sounding names naturally create comparable flows in music. He emphasized that minor similarities are common in music, especially through rhymes, phrasing, or within the same genre.

"In today's interconnected world, where artists share the same platforms, no one is deliberately trying to copy someone else's work," Pritam stated. He suggested that if artists truly resonate with an idea, they should consider collaboration rather than accusations.

The composer urged fans to celebrate artistic creativity and unique perspectives instead of engaging in fan wars. He also highlighted that musical similarities can occur through creative influence or pure coincidence, especially when artists operate on similar creative wavelengths.

While Jennie has not commented on the allegations, Pritam's professional assessment as the original composer of "Rani's Theme" effectively addresses the controversy, encouraging both fandoms to focus on supporting their artists rather than engaging in unnecessary disputes.
