Duane 'Keefe D' Davis has denied all accusations regarding his involvement in Tupac Shakur's 1996 murder during his first interview since his September 2023 arrest. Speaking to ABC News from Clark County Detention Center in Nevada, Davis maintains his innocence and claims he was paid to fabricate his previous confessions.

Prosecutors allege Davis, a former Compton Crips gang leader, orchestrated the drive-by shooting that killed Tupac Shakur on the Las Vegas strip. The shooting occurred when a car pulled up beside the BMW carrying Shakur and Suge Knight at a red light, firing multiple shots. Shakur died six days later from his wounds.

The prosecution's case largely relies on Davis' own accounts of the killing, which he shared in:

• Multiple police interviews
• Public media appearances
• His 2019 memoir "Compton Street Legend"

Davis now claims he never read the book and that his co-author took creative liberties. He insists he wasn't even in Las Vegas during the murder, stating he was in Los Angeles at the time.
