Taylor Swift is currently signed with Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), after leaving her long-time label Big Machine Records in 2018. She signed with Republic Records in November 2018, securing ownership of all her future master recordings.

Before joining Republic Records, Swift spent the first 13 years of her career with Big Machine Records, where she released her first six studio albums: "Taylor Swift" (2006), "Fearless" (2008), "Speak Now" (2010), "Red" (2012), "1989" (2014), and "Reputation" (2017).

The switch to Republic Records came after a highly publicized dispute over the ownership of her master recordings. Under her new deal with Republic Records and UMG, Swift gained complete control over her master recordings starting with her seventh studio album, "Lover" (2019).

Since joining Republic Records, Swift has released several successful albums:

• "Lover" (2019)
• "folklore" (2020)
• "evermore" (2020)
• "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" (2021)
• "Red (Taylor's Version)" (2021)
• "Midnights" (2022)
• "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" (2023)
• "1989 (Taylor's Version)" (2023)

Republic Records, founded in 1995, is one of the most successful record labels in the industry and is home to many major artists. The label is known for giving artists more creative freedom and better terms regarding master recording ownership.

Swift's deal with Republic Records is considered groundbreaking in the music industry, as it allows her to maintain ownership of her work while having the support of a major label's distribution and marketing capabilities. This partnership has proven extremely successful, with Swift breaking numerous records and achieving unprecedented commercial success since the switch.
