SoundCloud Introduces Budget-Friendly Artist Plan at $3.25 per Month
SoundCloud has introduced a new "Artist" subscription tier designed to bridge the gap between its Basic and Artist Pro (formerly Next Pro) plans, making professional music distribution more accessible for emerging artists.
The new Artist tier costs $3.25 monthly or $39 annually in the U.S. and includes:
- 3 hours of upload time per month
- Distribution of 2 tracks monthly to major platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok)
- Monetization on SoundCloud and other platforms
- One monthly AI mastering credit

This new tier provides essential professional tools at a significantly lower price point than the Pro tier ($8.25/month), making it easier for new artists to enter the music industry and monetize their work.
The program has already shown promising results during pilot testing in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, confirming strong demand for affordable professional music distribution tools among emerging artists.
This launch is part of SoundCloud's broader initiative to enhance its artist services platform, which began in 2022 following the acquisition of Repost in 2019. The company continues to develop new features, including:
- Enhanced monetization tools
- Merchandise stores
- The "Ascending" artist development program, which has successfully promoted artists like Shaboozey, Barry Can't Swim, and Kenya Grace
