Snoop Dogg lost over 500,000 Instagram followers and approximately 20,000 X (formerly Twitter) followers following his performance at the Crypto Ball during Donald Trump's inauguration celebrations.

Addressing the backlash on Instagram Live, Snoop maintained his stance, stating, "Y'all can't hate enough on me. I love too much… Still a black man, still 100 percent black."

The rapper's shifting relationship with Trump may be influenced by the former president's pardon of Death Row Records co-founder Michael "Harry O" Harris, who was serving a 25-year-to-life sentence. Snoop actively advocated for Harris' clemency and later acknowledged Trump's positive impact, telling the Sunday Times, "Donald Trump? He ain't done nothing wrong to me. [...] He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris."
