The partnership focuses on five IRIS artists: Vinida Weng, Haysen Cheng, Miles, Swag Kelly, and Harikiri. The first release under this collaboration is Vinida's "7th Seed" album, partially recorded in English. Vinida also recently released a Mandarin single "Black Eight" featuring Haysen Cheng.

IRIS Chengdu, founded in November 2021 by producer and DJ Andre Grant (Harikiri), operates as a multi-faceted company providing label services, talent management, and related music industry services. The company is based in Chengdu, a city of 21.4 million people that's considered the epicenter of China's hip-hop scene.

"IRIS Chengdu was founded to push creative boundaries and give artists the freedom to tell their stories authentically," says Harikiri. "This partnership with RCA Greater China marks an exciting milestone, amplifying our ability to share those stories globally while staying true to our roots."

The move follows other major label activity in China's music market. Universal Music Greater China recently signed "King of Chinese Pop" Liu Huan and celebrated Jacky Cheung's 1,000th concert milestone, marking him as the first Chinese artist to achieve this feat.

While financial details remain undisclosed, the partnership aims to both strengthen commercial success in China and develop these artists for the global stage.
