London claims he wrote and copyrighted his song "Bubblegum" in 2015, releasing it on major streaming platforms. He alleges direct contact with Quavo when he performed as an opening act for 2 Chainz and Migos in New Orleans. At an afterparty following the show, London says he gave Quavo a demo CD containing the track, hoping for future collaboration.

The lawsuit alleges Quavo used protected elements from London's song without authorization. Universal Music Group, Quality Control Music, Capitol Records, and Motown are named as co-defendants in the case.

London seeks:

  • An injunction to stop further distribution of the song
  • Monetary damages
  • Attorney fees
