Naxos, the world's largest classical music label, has formed a global licensing partnership with Reactional Music to bring interactive music personalization to gaming. This collaboration makes the world's most extensive classical music catalog accessible to game developers and gamers.

Reactional Music's platform enables developers to create interactive soundtracks that adapt in real-time to gameplay, allowing gamers to personalize music without affecting master recordings. The partnership will explore real-time compositional capabilities for interactive gaming soundtracks.

Both companies seek to capitalize on the growing gaming market, valued at $223.1 billion in 2023. In-game purchases reached $125.7 billion, with $72.5 billion spent on cosmetic content and personalization. Music currently represents less than 0.01% of this spending, but industry forecasts predict in-game personalization to reach $100 billion by 2029.

David Knox, Reactional Music President, emphasizes the partnership's significance in bringing diverse regional and classical music scores to the gaming industry. Håkan Lagerqvist, CEO of Naxos Digital Services, highlights the importance of providing developers access to culturally diverse music content and exploring interactive soundtrack possibilities.

Reactional Music has established partnerships with over 50 music rights holders, including Beggars Group, Defected Records, Cherry Red Records, Hopeless Records, Hipgnosis Song Management, and production music groups like APM Music, Soundstripe, and Alibi.
