Min joined Hybe in 2019 as a brand officer and became CEO of ADOR in 2021, where she successfully launched the girl group NewJeans in 2022. The conflict began when Hybe initiated an internal audit, alleging Min attempted to take control of ADOR without authorization. Min denied these claims, stating they were retaliation for her internal complaints.
The situation escalated with multiple lawsuits, resulting in the dismissal of previous ADOR shareholders and Min's removal as CEO in August. After the Seoul Central District Court rejected her reinstatement injunction, Min decided to leave her director position at Hybe entirely.
In her resignation letter, Min vowed to pursue legal action against Hybe for alleged violations of the shareholders' agreement. She expressed gratitude to NewJeans fans (Bunnies) and supporters while promising to continue her career in the K-pop industry.
Key points from Min's statement:
- She fought for seven months to reclaim ADOR
- Plans to take legal action against Hybe's "illegal activities"
- Warns against malicious defamation attempts
- Criticizes actions that damaged the "essence of the business"
Hybe has not issued a response to Min's resignation announcement.
