
Major Labels Cancel Grammy Parties as LA Wildfires Prompt Relief Efforts
The major record labels have cancelled their Grammy week events due to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires, though the main Grammy Awards ceremony remains scheduled for February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena.
Universal Music Group first announced the cancellation of its Grammy-related events, including their artist showcase and afterparty, choosing to redirect resources toward wildfire relief efforts. Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and BMG quickly followed suit, cancelling their respective events and redirecting funds to support Los Angeles relief initiatives.

- MusiCares' Person of the Year event honoring The Grateful Dead (January 31)

The 2025 Grammy nominations are led by Beyoncé with 11 nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish with seven each. Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan each received six nominations.
MusiCares' event will include a special appeal for wildfire relief donations, demonstrating the music industry's unified response to the natural disaster affecting the Los Angeles area.
The FireAid benefit concert remains scheduled for January 30, with proceeds supporting relief efforts through MusiCares.
