Gunna's Former Attorney Defends Client Against Snitch Claims: 'Get Over It'
Gunna's former attorney, Steve Sadow, has firmly addressed persistent accusations about his client's alleged cooperation with authorities in the YSL RICO case. Speaking out via social media platform X, Sadow emphatically stated that Gunna did not cooperate or cause any harm to Young Thug's case.

Key points about Gunna's case:
- Spent 8 months in jail before release in December 2022
- Entered an Alford plea (maintains innocence while accepting plea deal)
- Received 5-year suspended sentence with no restrictions
- Was never named as a witness in Young Thug's trial
- Has since performed worldwide and achieved significant success
In contrast, Young Thug's outcome was notably different:
- Spent 30 months in jail
- Received 15 years probation with reporting conditions
- Banned from living in Atlanta
- Took a plea deal in October leading to release
Sadow emphasized that both artists initially faced identical potential sentences under RICO allegations. He took responsibility for securing what he called "the great deal" for Gunna, who has maintained his position that he never cooperated with authorities or agreed to testify as part of his plea agreement.
Young Thug's legal team, described as "phenomenal" by REFORM Alliance chief policy officer Eric Haney, successfully secured his freedom, though with significant restrictions including a decade-long ban from the Atlanta metropolitan area.
