
Guitar Center Steps Up: Free Instrument Replacement for LA Wildfire-Affected Musicians & Schools
Guitar Center has launched an initiative to replace instruments and gear for Los Angeles-based musicians and music education programs affected by the recent wildfires. The program runs through February 28, 2025, via the Guitar Center Music Foundation.

Eligible music programs must fall into these categories:
- In-school music classes with active student participation
- After-school music programs (non-school operated)
- Community music programs offering instruction
- Music therapy programs with active participation
Additional support is available through multiple organizations:
- MusiCares: Offering $1,500 in financial relief, $500 grocery cards, and instrument replacement assistance
- Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation: Providing emergency funds for theatrical distribution community members
- Dramatists Guild Foundation: Grants for composers, lyrists, and playwrights covering rental, medical, and insurance needs
- Motion Picture and Television Fund: Financial aid and social services for entertainment community members
- NAMM Foundation: Established $50,000 LA Wildfire Relief fund
The Los Angeles wildfires have displaced over 150,000 people, prompting this coordinated response from various organizations to support affected musicians and arts professionals.
