Eric Clapton's iconic 1992 MTV Unplugged performance is getting a theatrical release with "Eric Clapton Unplugged... Over 30 Years Later." The restored and expanded version will screen in select US and UK theaters on January 27 and 28, before arriving on Paramount+ on February 12.

The remastered special features Clapton's legendary acoustic performances, including hits like "Tears in Heaven" and "Layla." Previously unreleased content includes unaired performances and an exclusive interview where Clapton discusses his musical influences before the performance.

The original Unplugged album sold 26 million copies worldwide, becoming the most successful live album ever released. Clapton, the only three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee (as a solo artist and member of both the Yardbirds and Cream), has sold over 100 million records in his career.

This special release is a collaboration between MTV, Surfdog Records, and Surfdog producer John Logsdon. Executive producers include Bruce Gillmer and Vanessa Whitewolf from MTV, along with Clapton, Michael Eaton, and Dave Kaplan. Alicia Portugal serves as series executive in charge, with Lisa Lauricella as series music talent executive.
