The 67th Annual Grammy Awards' status remains uncertain as Los Angeles battles devastating wildfires. The event, scheduled for February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena, may face postponement due to ongoing fire emergencies across the city.

Industry insiders report that discussions are underway regarding two main options: postponing the ceremony or transforming it into a fundraising event. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a senior television executive indicates postponement is "highly likely" given the active fires and anticipated aftermath.

Recording Academy head Harvey Mason Jr. is currently evaluating multiple scenarios, with the final decision depending on developments in the coming days.

A benefit concert is being planned for January 30 at the Intuit Dome, organized by Live Nation, the Azoff family, and AEG Presents, with artists yet to be announced. The Grammy's foundation, MusiCares, is also involved in relief efforts.

This wouldn't be the first Grammy postponement in recent years. The ceremony was previously delayed twice due to COVID-19 - in 2021 (January to March) and 2022 (moved to April due to Omicron variant).

The current wildfires, which began Tuesday in Pacific Palisades before spreading to Malibu and Santa Monica, have claimed 24 lives according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office. Multiple fires, including the Eaton, Hurst, and Kenneth fires, continue to threaten the region, with thousands of residents displaced and homes destroyed.
