Notable private donations came from Irving Azoff, U2, the Eagles, Andrew Hauptman, and Ellen Bronfman Hauptman. The Ballmer family is matching all donations dollar-for-dollar through February 7th.
The Annenberg Foundation is leading the FireAid Grants Advisory Committee, which consists of experienced LA-region philanthropic leaders. They are currently finalizing the distribution strategy for the funds to ensure they reach those most in need.
Additional wildfire relief efforts include:
- The Grammy Awards raising $24 million
- Jelly Roll's free Rose Bowl show for first responders
- NAMM establishing a dedicated relief fund
- Live Nation's Gve a Fck LA benefit concert at Hollywood Palladium
- "Give a Frock" memorabilia auction running until February 25th
- Bandcamp's February 7th profit donation to MusiCares
The combined FireAid concerts attracted over 50 million viewers, making it one of the most successful music industry charitable initiatives for wildfire relief to date.
