A federal judge has denied Sean "Diddy" Combs' request for a gag order in his ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy case.

Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the motion, which would have restricted public statements by victims and their attorneys. The judge emphasized that a gag order is an "extreme remedy" that must balance the defendant's right to a fair trial with First Amendment protections.
Combs' legal team, led by attorney Marc Agnifilo, argued that media coverage and statements from accusers' attorneys were prejudicing public perception. However, Judge Subramanian noted that broad restrictions would unfairly limit speech from individuals who may not be trial participants.
The music mogul currently faces serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, which he denies. His legal team has also renewed a request for his release on a $50 million bond, citing similar cases where defendants were granted bail.
The trial is scheduled for May 2025, marking a significant legal battle that continues to balance constitutional rights with judicial process. The case remains under close scrutiny as both prosecution and defense prepare for court proceedings.
