Notable acquisitions include hit songs co-written with Ed Sheeran such as "Photograph," "Shivers," and "Bad Habits," as well as BTS' "Permission to Dance." McDaid's impressive catalog features collaborations with artists including P!nk, Lewis Capaldi, Keith Urban, Shawn Mendes, Alicia Keys, and many others.

Beginning his career as a street performer in London, McDaid honed his songwriting skills through direct audience feedback. He later led the band Vega4 before joining Snow Patrol in 2011, where he contributed as a pianist, guitarist, and backing vocalist.

His versatility as a songwriter spans multiple genres, having worked with pop artists like Robbie Williams and BTS, rock bands including Thirty Seconds to Mars and Biffy Clyro, and singer-songwriters such as Birdy and Maisie Peters.

Jim Selby, Chief Publishing Officer at Concord, praised McDaid's artistry, noting, "His catalog to this point has reached incredible heights, culturally resonating around the world."

The agreement was facilitated by Reed Smith, LLP for Concord, while McDaid was represented by Michael Poster and Claire Hoffman of Michelman & Robinson, LLP, along with business manager Kevin McCullough and lawyer Willie Ryan.
