The Investigation Discovery (ID) documentary "Chris Brown: A History of Violence" premieres October 27, 2024, examining the Grammy winner's controversial past and alleged patterns of abuse.

Produced by Ample Entertainment as part of ID's No Excuse for Abuse initiative, the documentary features interviews with former associates and domestic violence experts, presenting multiple allegations of violence spanning Brown's career.

The film explores the infamous 2009 assault of Rihanna, which resulted in Brown's felony conviction, marking a pivotal moment in public perception of the artist. It also highlights newer allegations, including a woman known as "Jane Doe" who claims Brown assaulted her at a 2020 yacht party hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs—leading to a $20 million lawsuit that was later dismissed.

Sunny Hostin, former prosecutor and co-host of The View, will lead a post-premiere discussion about intimate partner violence and available resources for survivors. While Brown's representatives deny all allegations as "malicious and false," the documentary raises questions about celebrity accountability and the entertainment industry's handling of abuse allegations.

The documentary aims to amplify survivors' voices and contribute to broader conversations about domestic violence awareness and systemic change in the entertainment industry.
