Lady Gaga Faces Lawsuit from Surf Brand Over Controversial Mayhem Logo Design
Surf company Lost International has filed a lawsuit against Lady Gaga, claiming trademark infringement over the "Mayhem" logo used in her new merchandise collection.

Lost International, which has used the "Mayhem" trademark since 1986, alleges that Gaga's merchandise logo is "substantially similar if not nearly identical" to their trademarked design from 2015. The company uses this trademark across their surfboards, equipment, clothing, and accessories. "Mayhem" is also the nickname of Lost International's co-founder, Matt Biolos.
The California-based company claims they sent a cease and desist letter to Lady Gaga's team, which was ignored. They are now seeking a jury trial, arguing that the similarity in logos could mislead consumers and damage their brand reputation.
Lady Gaga's attorney, Orin Snyder, responded by calling the lawsuit "opportunistic and meritless," noting that Gaga's album "Mayhem" has achieved significant success, including a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200.
The dispute comes as Lady Gaga prepares for her Mayhem Ball tour, scheduled to begin in July with 32 shows across North America, Europe, and the UK through November.
