During a Golden Globes interview with Laverne Cox, Glover revealed he's been in the studio collaborating with "secret people" on various projects. While he's currently making music for enjoyment, he promised fans that "something will happen" soon.
This news contradicts his 2017 announcement at Governors Ball, where he stated that his album following "Awaken, My Love!" would be his last as Childish Gambino. His 2020 album "3.15.20" was expected to be his final release under that name, but Glover has now confirmed fans "don't have to worry about that."
Additionally, Glover is set to reunite with the Community cast for an upcoming movie shooting in June, which will air on Peacock. Series creator Dan Harmon has emphasized that the project wouldn't proceed without Glover's involvement.
With both new Childish Gambino music and the Community movie on the horizon, 2023 promises to be an exciting year for Donald Glover fans. His recent "Redbone" duet with Billie Eilish suggests he's already testing the waters for his musical return.
