Bob Dylan Endorses Timothée Chalamet for Upcoming Biopic 'A Complete Unknown'
Bob Dylan has officially endorsed Timothée Chalamet's portrayal of him in the upcoming biopic "A Complete Unknown," sharing his approval on social media.
"Timmy's a brilliant actor so I'm sure he's going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me," Dylan stated, commenting on the film's adaptation of Elijah Wald's 2015 book "Dylan Goes Electric."

The film, directed by James Mangold, chronicles Dylan's early years in New York's Greenwich Village folk scene during the 1960s, culminating in his historic electric performance of "Like a Rolling Stone" at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
The star-studded cast includes:
- Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez
- Edward Norton as Pete Seeger
- Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash
- Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie
- Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo (a fictional character based on Suze Rotolo)
While Dylan has contributed to the film's development through consultations with Mangold and script notes, his social media post suggests he hasn't yet seen the final product. His manager, Jeff Rosen, serves as a producer on the film, which premieres on December 25.
Chalamet responded to Dylan's endorsement with gratitude, stating simply, "Floored. I am so grateful. Thank you Bob."
