Young Thug Settles Multimillion-Dollar Legal Dispute with AEG Presents After 5-Year Battle
Young Thug and AEG Presents have reached a settlement in their multimillion-dollar contract dispute, ending a legal battle that began in 2020. The settlement was recently approved by the presiding judge, dismissing the case without prejudice.

The dispute centered on Young Thug's alleged breach of performance agreements and involved a $5.2 million advance. A key point of contention was the artist's music IP, which had been offered as collateral but was reportedly sold to a third party for $16 million.
The case faced several delays due to Young Thug's separate gang-related charges, which concluded with the artist receiving 15 years' probation and a requirement to leave Georgia. AEG Presents resumed its litigation in November 2024, focusing on the IP ownership issue.
While specific settlement terms remain undisclosed, the court will maintain jurisdiction over the case for one year to enforce the agreement. The resolution appears to involve multiple components requiring ongoing oversight.
Young Thug is now preparing to return to live performances, with his first post-arrest show scheduled at Les Ardentes on July 5th. Additional performances are expected, including four annual charity concerts required by his plea deal.
