Social media reactions have largely criticized this trend, with many calling it "dystopian" and questioning whether concert attendees should prioritize their spending differently.

This generosity isn't new for Drake. In 2023, he gave $50,000 to a fan who spent their savings on concert tickets after a breakup, and organized a "Drizzmas Giveaway" during Christmas, distributing hundreds of thousands in prizes.

The increased frequency of these gestures comes amid Drake's ongoing controversy with Kendrick Lamar, including a lawsuit against Universal Music Group regarding Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us."
