US Government Slams Diddy's Racism Claims as 'Outrageous and Illogical' in Legal Defense
The US government has formally responded to Sean "Diddy" Combs' accusations of racism, calling them "outrageous and illogical" in court documents filed on March 4.
Combs and his legal team recently attempted to have charges dismissed by claiming racial bias in the prosecution. The charges include transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, and racketeering.

The federal government strongly denies these allegations, stating that "race played no role whatsoever in the decision to seek the charges contained in the indictment." Instead, they assert the charges stem from "the defendant's decades of criminal conduct."
Combs' defense specifically challenges the Mann Act charge, claiming no white person has ever been targeted under this law, which prohibits transportation of women for sex. His legal team argues that "Mr. Combs has been singled out because he is a powerful Black man, and he is being prosecuted for conduct that regularly goes unpunished."
The defense also accuses federal prosecutors of leaking case information to the media, claiming this demonstrates bias and "plays on racist tropes." They maintain that all sexual activity between Combs and others was consensual.
Government prosecutors previously addressed similar accusations during an October pre-trial hearing, calling them "baseless" and warning they posed a "serious risk" to conducting a fair trial. The trial is scheduled to begin on May 5.
