The Weeknd Postpones Rose Bowl Concert and Album Release Due to LA Wildfires
The Weeknd has announced the cancellation of his January 25 Rose Bowl concert and delayed his album release due to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. The decision comes as part of a broader response to the devastating fires that have claimed over 20 lives in the area.

The artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has postponed his sixth studio album "Hurry Up Tomorrow" to January 31, a week later than initially planned. The album holds special significance as it will be his final project under The Weeknd persona, though Tesfaye confirms he isn't leaving music entirely.
"This city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time," Tesfaye stated on social media. He emphasized his commitment to supporting the recovery of affected communities.
The wildfires have impacted numerous entertainment events in Los Angeles, including several Grammy Awards-related activities. While the main Grammy ceremony will proceed as scheduled on February 2, various afterparties and supplementary events have been cancelled or postponed.
FireAid has announced a benefit concert featuring an all-star lineup including Billie Eilish, Earth Wind & Fire, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Lady Gaga, Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, and Tate McRae to support wildfire relief efforts.
