The Dead Boys were signed to Sire Records during their most active and influential period in the late 1970s. Sire Records, founded by Seymour Stein, was a prominent record label known for signing various punk and new wave acts during that era.

Their debut album, "Young, Loud and Snotty," was released through Sire Records in 1977. The album featured their most well-known song, "Sonic Reducer," which became a punk rock classic. The following year, they released their second album, "We Have Come for Your Children" (1978), also on Sire Records.

After the band's initial breakup in 1979, various compilation albums and live recordings were released through different labels. However, Sire Records remains the label most associated with the Dead Boys' original studio recordings and their most significant work.

Several reissues of their material have been released through other labels, including:

- Bomp! Records
- Ruby Records
- Revenge Records
- Phonogram Records

It's worth noting that Sire Records was distributed by Warner Bros. Records during the Dead Boys' active period, which helped give the band wider distribution and exposure despite their relatively underground status in the punk rock scene.
