Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, has negotiated a deal for release after violating his parole conditions. The agreement includes:

  • One month in jail
  • Three months of home incarceration with electronic monitoring
  • One year of court supervision from the Probation Department

The rapper was arrested on October 29 for failing to obtain travel permissions and failing mandatory drug tests. Judge Paul A. Englemayer will finalize the sentence at a November 12 hearing.

This follows his previous 2019 conviction where he received:

  • Two years in prison for racketeering and gang-related charges
  • $35,000 fine
  • Five years supervised release
  • 1,000 hours community service

Tekashi 6ix9ine was previously released early in April 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns related to his asthma and bronchitis. The judge expressed disappointment in the rapper's failure to comply with release conditions after receiving this compassionate release.

The rapper apologized to the judge during proceedings, stating he is "not a bad person."
