StubHub Double-Sold Tickets Leave LA Philharmonic Concert Fans Stranded
StubHub's multiple ticket sales for LA Philharmonic concerts left dozens of concertgoers stranded at the Walt Disney Concert Hall over the weekend. The incident involved the same tickets being sold to multiple buyers, forcing many to be turned away at the door despite having valid StubHub purchases.

While some attendees managed to purchase last-minute tickets directly from the LA Phil box office, many others were left without options to attend the performance, which featured Mozart's Piano Concerto and Nielsen's works.
StubHub has promised refunds within 5-8 business days and stated the situation is "under review." However, past incidents suggest that refund processing can take weeks or months, with some buyers reporting difficulties in recovering their money.
This incident adds to a growing list of ticketing problems:
- Recent warnings from Irish and Scottish authorities about Oasis ticket scams through Ticketmaster
- A public dispute between Ticketmaster and StubHub over fake Oasis tickets in North America
- A $600,000 scam involving fake Taylor Swift tickets on StubHub, executed through an inside job
The ongoing issues highlight persistent problems in the secondary ticket market, raising concerns about consumer protection and the need for more secure ticketing systems.
