Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Defense Team Pushes for Gag Order as Trial Approaches
Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team has requested a gag order amid concerns over pretrial publicity in his ongoing racketeering and sex trafficking case.

The request comes after a grand jury witness made public claims about possessing video evidence allegedly showing Combs involved in various crimes. Defense attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos filed a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, arguing that increasing "improper pretrial publicity" threatens Combs' right to a fair trial.
The defense team strongly denies these allegations, describing them as "outrageous" and unverified. They assert that the witness, who has never met Combs, claims to have received tapes from a deceased individual along with a purported memoir from the mother of Combs' children.
This follows an earlier October motion where Combs' attorneys sought to restrict federal law enforcement leaks to media. While Judge Subramanian denied that request, he emphasized that all parties must follow rules preventing the release of non-public information that could compromise trial fairness.
The court will decide on the gag order in the coming weeks, as Combs awaits his May 5 trial. His legal team maintains that without such restrictions, continued public statements could further jeopardize the integrity of the legal proceedings and their client's right to a fair trial.
