The competition is spearheaded by Melody Campbell, founder of The Sound Bank and creator of the UK's first pay-as-you-go recording studio, alongside Quality Control Music's marketing manager Mr. Too Official. Entry is open to all UK artists for a £10 fee until the end of July.
Key Competition Details:
- Talent scouts located in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Wales, and Margate
- Top 15 acts will perform in finals at The Sound Bank's music seminar (September 14-15)
- Finals will be judged by Quality Control executives and livestreamed by Mimi the Music Blogger
Prize Package:
- Exclusive management deal
- Studio session at The Sound Bank with a top London producer
- Mentoring from Mr. Too Official
- All-expenses-paid promotional trip to Atlanta
- Opportunity to record with Quality Control
This initiative aims to create genuine opportunities for British artists to achieve international success, moving away from traditional reality TV show formats to focus purely on talent development and industry connections. Quality Control Music, known for launching artists like Migos, City Girls, and Lil Baby, brings significant industry expertise to the competition.
"There just really seemed to be a lack of platforms and alternatives that could propel someone's music career on a similar scale, and that's what we are trying to create here," explains Melody Campbell.
