PPL Distributes $58 Million in Q4 2024, Expands to Azerbaijan and Guatemala Markets

PPL has announced its Q4 2024 distribution of £45.3 million ($57.5 million), showing a 7% decrease from Q4 2023. Despite this decline, the organization achieved several notable milestones in its 90th year of operation.

The distribution includes contributions from 69 international CMOs, up from 63 in Q4 2023, setting a new record for single-payout partnerships. Over 137,000 performers and rightsholders received payments for their recordings.

Notable highlights include:

  • Significant payments from France, Netherlands, Sweden, U.S., and Portugal
  • First-time contributions from Azerbaijan (RAYS) and Guatemala
  • Over 9,400 members receiving their first-ever payment
  • A £2.3 million ($2.9 million) Annual Supplementary Remuneration Fund payment for 2024

PPL CEO Peter Leathem emphasized the organization's continued growth and commitment to supporting sustainable music careers. The distribution includes revenue from VPL, PPL's music-video-focused sister company.
