Di'Anno made his mark on heavy metal history by lending his distinctive vocals to Iron Maiden's first two groundbreaking albums: their self-titled debut and "Killers." His reckless, energetic style helped distinguish the band during the early New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

Following his departure from Iron Maiden in 1981 due to personal struggles and creative differences, Di'Anno maintained an active music career spanning over four decades. He performed with bands including Battlezone and Killers, released multiple solo albums, and participated in various collaborations.

Despite facing severe health challenges in recent years that confined him to a wheelchair, Di'Anno continued performing for fans worldwide, completing over 100 shows since 2023. His final performance took place at Hype Park in Krakow, Poland, on August 30, 2024.

His career culminated with the release of "The Book of the Beast" in September 2024, a retrospective album showcasing highlights from his post-Iron Maiden recordings.
