Nicki Minaj Hit Me in the Face During Tour, Former Manager Claims in New Lawsuit
Nicki Minaj, the renowned rapper, is facing legal troubles as a former employee has filed assault charges against her in Los Angeles Superior Court. Brandon Garrett, who claims he served as her day-to-day manager during the Pink Friday 2 tour, alleges Minaj struck him in the face during a backstage confrontation.

The incident allegedly occurred on April 21 at Detroit's Little Caesars Arena. According to Garrett's lawsuit, he was summoned to Minaj's dressing room where she expressed frustration over staff management issues. The situation escalated when Minaj allegedly became upset about prescription pickup arrangements, leading to her striking Garrett's face with an open hand.
Garrett claims he sustained a wrist injury during the altercation and subsequently locked himself in a restroom for several hours. Following the incident, he was informed he would not continue with the tour to its next stop in Chicago.
While attempting to report the incident, Garrett initially contacted Detroit police but was unable to file an in-person report due to travel constraints. He later sought police escort in Chicago due to safety concerns and eventually filed an official report in Detroit.
Minaj's attorney, Judd Burstein, has denied the allegations, stating they are "completely false and frivolous." The legal team maintains they haven't been officially served with the complaint but are confident the matter will be resolved in Minaj's favor.
