Netflix has announced a new documentary about the late DJ and producer Avicii, titled "I'm Tim," premiering December 31. The film features Avicii himself as narrator through previously recorded interviews before his death in 2018.

The documentary provides an intimate look at Tim Bergling's journey from his early days in Sweden to his rise as an EDM superstar. It includes interviews with his parents, friends, collaborators, and fellow artists, offering a comprehensive view of both his professional success and personal struggles.

As part of the release, Netflix will also stream Avicii's final performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza from August 2016, his last show before retiring from touring at age 26.

Directed by Henrik Burman and produced by Björn Tjärnberg, "I'm Tim" follows the 2017 documentary "Avicii: True Stories." The film complements other recent Avicii-related releases, including a photobook chronicling his life and career, and a biography by Måns Mosesson.

In 2022, the Avicii Estate sold 75% of his music catalog to Pophouse, including hits like "Wake Me Up," "Seek Bromance," and "Levels." A recent auction of his personal items raised $750,000 for the Tim Bergling Foundation, supporting youth mental health education.
