Netflix Introduces Spatial Audio for Original Shows and Movies
Netflix has partnered with Sennheiser to bring spatial audio support to select Netflix Original titles. This new feature, which began rolling out on July 7, uses Sennheiser's AMBEO 2-Channel spatial audio technology to convert immersive mixes into enhanced two-channel audio.

The technology preserves the original sound mix while providing an improved listening experience for viewers using standard stereo speakers. Netflix is the first streaming platform to implement this specific spatial audio technology.
Currently, 27 Netflix Originals support spatial audio, including popular titles such as:
- Stranger Things
- The Witcher
- Red Notice
- The Adam Project
- Resident Evil
- Locke & Key
- Archive 81
- Fear Street Trilogy
- Castlevania
To find content with spatial audio support, users can simply search "spatial audio" on Netflix to see all available titles.
Scott Kramer, Netflix's Manager for Sound Technology, notes that the AMBEO spatial audio technology "better translates detailed immersive mix work to stereo" while maintaining creative intent and sound quality. This feature complements Netflix's existing audio-visual enhancements such as 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Netflix Calibrated Mode.
The complete list of supported titles also includes:
- Raising Dion
- Keep Sweet Pray and Obey
- Interceptor
- Jennifer Lopez's 'Halftime'
- The Unforgivable
- Selena the Series
- The Order
- True Story
- The Haunting of Bly Manor
- Black Summer
- Seoul Vibe
- Slumberland
- The Good Nurse
- Warrior Nun
- Kate
- Lulli
