Miami Beach Rescinds Diddy's Key to City Following Vice Mayor's Harsh Condemnation
Miami Beach officials have officially revoked Sean "Diddy" Combs' key to the city, which was originally awarded to him in 2015. The decision comes amid serious allegations against the music mogul.
Vice Mayor Alex Fernandez expressed strong condemnation of Combs, describing the allegations as "disgusting," "dirty," and "inhumane." The city commission, led by Mayor Steven Weiner, unanimously voted for the revocation on October 30.

The city has also canceled "Diddy Day," which was previously celebrated on October 13. This action follows New York City's similar decision to rescind Combs' key after surveillance footage emerged showing him allegedly assaulting ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura in 2016.
Combs, 54, is currently detained in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial in May 2025. He faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, to which he has pleaded not guilty. He has been denied bail twice since his arrest and indictment.
