
Master P Takes Helm as Basketball Operations President at University of New Orleans
Percy "Master P" Miller, renowned music mogul and former college basketball player, has been appointed as President of Basketball Operations for the University of New Orleans men's basketball team.

Miller brings extensive basketball experience, having coached for over 20 years. His AAU team, P. Miller's Ballers, achieved three national championships, and he has mentored several NBA players including DeMar DeRozan, Brandon Jennings, Lance Stephenson, and Jalen Suggs.
Head men's basketball coach Stacy Hollowell expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, highlighting Miller's deep connection to the city and the university. He emphasized that the program will benefit from Miller's basketball knowledge and local relationships.
Miller, a New Orleans native, shared his personal connection to the sport: "Basketball changed and saved my life." In his new role, he aims to restore the winning tradition to the team while focusing on student-athlete development both on and off the court. His vision extends beyond athletics, emphasizing education and leadership development.
As founder and chairman of Team Hope Foundation, Miller demonstrates his commitment to community development through programs supporting youth and elderly populations. Despite his success in the music industry, he finds his greatest satisfaction in coaching and mentoring the next generation of players.
The appointment represents a significant step in strengthening the University of New Orleans basketball program while maintaining strong ties to the local community.
