Lil Wayne is teasing the release of 'Tha Carter VI' through a strategic Cetaphil Super Bowl advertisement campaign titled "We're All A Lil Sensitive." The campaign cleverly plays on Wayne's public disappointment at not being selected for this year's Super Bowl halftime show.

The advertisement contains multiple references to the date 6-6-25, appearing on football jerseys and a basketball scorecard. The ad concludes with Wayne declining Super Bowl tickets, stating "Nah, this is time sensitive," before entering his studio with a door sign reading "Do Not Disturb 'Til 06-06-2025" and "Carter VI" written on duct tape.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Wayne explained, "The world knew I was disappointed, but what they didn't know was that it made me determined to deliver something way bigger." The rapper had previously expressed disappointment about not performing at the Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans, candidly admitting he wasn't mentally prepared for the letdown.

The NFL ultimately chose Kendrick Lamar and SZA for this year's show. Notably, Kendrick's latest album GNX references Wayne's situation in the track "wacced out murals" with the lyrics "Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down."

The collaboration with Cetaphil marks a creative way for Wayne to announce his next album while turning his Super Bowl disappointment into a marketing opportunity, with 'Tha Carter VI' now set for a June 6, 2025 release.
